Jamie Grant
Specialist Neurological Occupational Therapist
About
Founder of The Occupational Therapy Hub, directing from Bristol and London, UK. Working clinically as a Neurological Occupational Therapist in Bristol.
Following a decade's experience in hospitality, media and television production, I took a new direction. After a year as a mental health support worker, I decided that a career in healthcare better matched my values. I relocated from London to Bristol and trained as an Occupational Therapist at the University of the West of England. I work clinically as a Specialist Neurological Occupational Therapist, providing outpatient rehabilitation to adults with a breadth of physical, cognitive and psychosocial challenges. I integrate neuro-technology and traditional rehab approaches, to maximise their outcomes and neuroplastic potential. Previously, I worked for a community paediatric disability service and before that in a brain injury rehabilitation unit. Other past experiences include being a rotational Occupational Therapist (in acute NHS hospitals) and work within an urgent care rapid response team. I have also worked on placement within stroke rehabilitation and at a young persons' mental health charity. The Occupational Therapy Hub has been my labour of love, since I first launched the platform in 2017. I enjoy collaborating with occupational therapists and healthcare staff around the world. I have a bold vision for the Hub. By sharing knowledge and breaking down geographical and financial barriers, I believe that my team can make a valued contribution to health and social care. I strive to bring a global community together. In doing so, The Occupational Therapy Hub can directly empower clinicians and students, indirectly supporting patients and clients.
