About
Hi, I’m an independent occupational therapist based in Northamptonshire. I graduated from the University of Northampton in 2009. In my private OT practice (OT|33) I specialise in housing, adaptations, equipment and moving and handling, as well as functional rehabilitation- supporting people to return to activities that are meaningful and purposeful to them (as do we all).
I am also a qualified yoga teacher. As well as group yoga classes I also offer 1:1 sessions to people recovering from injury and those with long-term physical, mental health and neurologicial conditions.
I have a keen interest in the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems and how imbalance across the two systems affects our stress levels, sleep and occupational performance. I have always advocated health promotion and feel that occupational therapists are crucial in supporting people to manage their health conditions outside of what is available under the medical model.
